For instance: Group #5 - Pincushion-Dress Form-Sewing Machine Group #10 - Santa, Snowman, Deer Group #11-Bouquet-Mosaic-Statement Vase Spool of Thread Fabrics Choose fabrics with cuttable motifs. You want large, medium and small scale motifs. You want to have many motif options. Background fabrics are just that….choose neutrals, tone on tone, small geometric prints, small script prints. If your pattern has a sky, choose fabric appropriate to the sky. Notions - Required Steam a Seam 2 is a required purchase. It has the wonderful property of repositioning. It also fuses well in the end. Easy Pattern - Applique Matt - Laura Heine Applique Mat recommended Small Scissors if not buying Karen Buckley or Laura Heine scissors Number 2 pencil Rotary cutter, ruler, small mat - 12” x 18” Notions - Recommended Karen K Buckley blue handled scissors. These scissors have micro serrated blades. This helps prevent fraying. Or Laura Heine Scissors. Instructor Bio:	Alice Hein is a retired school counselor with 34 years of experience fostering learning and confidence in others. A lifelong sewist and textile artist, she has created garments, quilts, and home décor for many years. After discovering fabric collage in 2021, Alice quickly developed a passion for the medium and is now a certified instructor in the Laura Heine method. She creates a supportive, encouraging classroom where students can explore their creativity and enjoy the process of making art.
