Big eye needles such as embroidery, sashiko, or chenille needles -Recommend buying several types of needles in different sizes to find personal preference Thread -Most used colors are ecru (off-white), white, light and dark grey -My favorite is thick Sashiko thread. I prefer the thicker/chunkier look. -Sashi.Co -Olympus -Perle cotton Sizes #12, #8, and #5. I prefer the thicker/chunkier look. -Perle cotton brands I prefer: -Valdani -Wonderfil Eleganza -There are a variety of thread packs from solid colors to variegated colors. Nice variety and themes. -Aurifil 12 wt and Floss-I have not tried but I want to Batting -I prefer natural fibers (no polyester). It seems like the poly is harder to pull the needle and thread through -Wool, cotton, bamboo Stainless steel curved safety pins for basting Kwik Klip if using curved safety pins to baste quilt together Spray basting glue -505 brand -June Tailor Thimble -I prefer leather thimbles from Clover in various sizes -if using a Sashiko needle, recommend Sashiko thimble
