Beginning Quilting

This class will teach you the basics of quilting. It will begin Friday March 6th and continue for 4 sessions every other week apart. There will be homework to complete between sessions.

Requirements:	Sewing machine in good working order Thread (light gray) Pins Scissors Rotary cutter and mat Fabric will be discussed and purchased during first class
Instructor:	Kay Hood
Instructor Bio:	Kay has been quilting for about 25 years. In 2013 she began working and teaching at a quilt shop in Virginia Beach, VA. She soon became the Assistant Education Director for a total of 10 stores. It was job she loved, and there was nothing like seeing the smiles on the students faces when they completed a project and loved the result. Kay took and applique class and her finished quilt (that she quilted by hand) was put on display at the Virginia Quilt Museum. Kay moved to Oklahoma 3 years ago to be closer to her kids and is getting back into teaching, her favorite thing. She looks forward to meeting everyone and sharing her love of sewing and quilting.
